Garden Packages

Every garden is unique to those it feeds. Some spaces will require more tending than others; there are many factors which determine the amount of work needed. These packages are meant as an outline and prices reflect the minimum of work required. Roots + Wings will always discuss increases of time and price with you before beginning or making changes in a garden work schedule. We love budgets and are happy to work with yours.

One Month $200
Over the course of the moon's full cycle, we clear the space designated for planting, amend your soil with nutrient rich compost and minerals, and either transplant or direct seed the varieties you have chosen. We handle all of the transplants, which are cared for in our nursery. We will make sure your plants are mulched, pruned and thriving.
*There are very few common varieties which mature in less than a month, especially if your soil is early on the road to health. The one month package would be perfect for those who want to take over the garden after the young transplants have established themselves.

Three Month $500
A more committed approach to building soil health and establishing extended rhythms in your garden, the three month package will include multiple rounds of soil amending, planting and mulching. Imagine a half dozen rounds of planting in which we grow an abundant spread of your favorite varieties and experiment with new ones. We can create more space for food to grow while early plantings establish themselves. We manage your compost piles, turning waste into nutrient rich soil. We prune and leave any harvest on your doorstep.

Five Month $850
The five month package is a serious investment in producing a majority of your own vegetables. If you are looking to expand your garden space over time, build long-term soil heath, improve the quality of your home-grown produce and balance out your ecosystem, this is the package for you. Not only will your garden thrive exponentially with our assistance, but we will show you how to manage your system as efficiently as possible. Long term garden investments prove to be the most hands-off for the gardeners, as the system becomes healthier and diversity of organisms brings life and harmony to the space.

Hourly $25
We also provide short-term garden projects and consulting for an hourly fee.

We can provide many preparation ideas for the food that is growing in your garden. If cooking is not your strong suit or you are simply looking to boost your kitchen skills, we offer in-house cooking classes designed for your families dining needs and budget.

Hands-On Garden Lessons

From the beginning gardener to the avid green thumb, we can work alongside you, teaching any and all aspects of seed to table processes. Let us teach you to maximize your efficiency through time managements, trouble shooting sick plants, and pests. We can teach you to start seeds, transplant, listen to your plants for a happy and healthy garden. Let us help you become more aware of the natural processes occurring above and below the soil, to better understand your role as gardener and partner to an incredible amount of life giving forces, awaiting your command.

Share Abundance Program

Now that your garden is running smoothly and plants are producing, you and your family might have more than you need or know what to do with. Share Abundance lets you connect with other families in the same position, to trade for what they have available. This is a great way to explore new foods that you may want to grow in the next season.
